Curating and managing three stand-out events to celebrate Oxford North's big launch which saw 400 people visit over two days.
Overall theme: “Intersecting worlds: how the fusion of academia, industry, science, technology, place and public art fosters community and sparks innovation driving technological advancements for society.”
The events were:
1. VIP launch event chaired by Professor Dame Kay Davies, with guest of honour Lord Hague of Richmond, Chancellor of University of Oxford, with keynote speaker, Dave Coplin, former Chief Envisioning Officer at Microsoft UK and a distinguished guest panel of Professor Peter Donnelly, Chief Executive Officer, Genomics Plc, Dame Alison Nimmo, and Holly Broughton, Curator, Communities, Practice and Participation, Modern Art Oxford.
2. Commercial agents launch with guest speaker Professor Suzie Imber, a space scientist, mountaineer and explorer.
3. Public art local community event 'In conversation with Olafur Eliasson', the Icelandic-Danish artist who created 'Your planetary assembly', the stunning illuminated public art in Fallaize Park.
